I’m Manni and I worked as a lecturer at University College London. I have an “interesting” background as I started life as a researcher in cancer therapy, and then somehow ended up as a researcher trying to rid the world of plastic waste. My meandering working life involved lots of stops and starts; stops of working for free and starts of doing yet another degree. Hence, I ended up with four degrees and a lot of random experience.
I like discovering how people think and perceive the world so I can better understand how they learn and hence teach them more effectively. My non-academic life involves trying to learn how to play the keyboard (badly) and making short, animated videos (quite well, thank you).
I love learning strange and wonderful things from (and about) students. I’ve been teaching them all about academic writing and I was attracted to Artesc because of the unique and artistic way Gijs and Jeanne deliver the course. The course really helps to get your writing to an unparalleled level in a very short time. The impact is so much bigger than in other approaches I met, so I hope to see you soon!
